About heicgo

Our Mission

heicgo was built to solve a simple but frustrating problem: iPhone users need to convert HEIC photos to JPEG, but most online converters either upload your files to a server or strip important metadata like GPS location and timestamps.

We believe privacy shouldn't be a premium feature. That's why heicgo processes everything locally in your browser — no uploads, no accounts, no tracking.

Why heicgo is Different

How It Works

heicgo uses WebAssembly to decode HEIC files in the browser at near-native speed, combined with the Canvas API for JPEG encoding. On Safari, we use the browser's native HEIC decoder for up to 39x faster conversion.
