HEIC’s Role in Storage Strategy

HEIC files are ~50% smaller than JPEG at equivalent quality. For cloud storage with per-GB pricing, this matters:

The Biggest Risk: Single Point of Failure

The most dangerous setup: all photos on one phone with no backup. Phones get lost, stolen, or broken every day.

The second most dangerous: all photos in one cloud account. Accounts get hacked, locked, or terminated.
